About you

You’re a senior data scientist with an MLop specialization, with extensive experience in deploying and maintaining data science models in production. Your MLops specialization creates an efficient discipline in developing and maintaining data science models. You define processes to make development more reliable and productive. You happily exist in the intersection of data engineering, data science, and DevOps and thrive when all data science chess pieces are aligned in multiple large-scale data science models.

You know that the discipline of data science is still evolving, and you understand that mistakes are often a part of the learning process. You enjoy continuously monitoring, validating, and updating even the most successful data science models in operations, as needs call for it. You appreciate the importance of developing and documenting reliable processes and creating safeguarding measures. You excel in and enjoy efforts that help reduce and improve data science models’ development time.

Focus

  • Aid and guide the development of data science models for large-scale and multitenant environments
  • Deploy, optimize, and maintain multiple data science models across varied environments.
  • Develop and document processes for deploying and maintaining various data science models.
  • Act as the bridge between DevOps, data engineering, and data science.

Key challenges

  • Maintaining oversight of multiple data science models.
  • Scaling up the data science environments and models in multiple environments for multiple clients.
  • Optimizing the computational efficiency and prediction accuracy of models in all environments.
  • Ensuring the implementation of data science models in line with current documentation.

  • Version controlling data science models deployments.

    Skills & experience

  • Expert in data programming languages, preferably Python.

  • Expert in the deployment of large-scale data science models in multiple environments.
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relations and communicating results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to organize, track and report results.
  • Possess a growth mindset and the agility to work in a fast-growing company.
  • 2+ years of experience in MLops is strongly preferred.
  • 4+ years in either data science or data engineering – preferably both
  • B.Sc. degree or higher in a data-science-related field.
