Scrum Master (of many trades)

Icelandair is looking to hire a Scrum Master who also acts as Quality Assurance (QA) specialist at the Digital Development unit. We are seeking a person who‘s interested in Agile methodologies, has a passion for teamwork while eager to ensure the quality of our digital products. Being a dual-role, possibly at 1-2 Scrum teams, this is only suitable for highly organized individuals.

Main responsibilities:

• Facilitate Scrum events of development teams.

• Organize the day-to-day work of the teams.

• Support Product Owners in product backlog management.

• Prioritize team operational tasks against planned activities.

• Test software to assure quality of new and existing functionality.

• Participate in implementing and maintaining a suite of automated tests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or comparable education.

• Scrum Master experience and certification is preferable while having been a scrum team member is vital.

• Software testing experience is needed and experience in test automation and/or test-driven development is beneficial.

• Organized and dependable professional.

• Ability to work independently as well as with different roles (developers, product owners, customers, project managers, designers, etc.).

• Someone who takes initiative and strives for continuous improvement.
