QA Software Engineer

Location: Dineout’s Office in Reykjavik (non-remote)

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced QA Software Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for technology, and a strong desire to deliver flawless software solutions to our clients. As a QA Software Engineer at Dineout, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to create comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover all aspects of our software products.
• Test Execution: Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Bug Tracking: Document and report defects, errors, and inconsistencies using bug tracking tools, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Continuous Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve our testing processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure the highest level of software quality.
Release Validation: Participate in release and deployment activities to ensure that software meets the required quality standards before release to customers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of quality requirements.
Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a QA Software Engineer or in a similar role.
– Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
– Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
– Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Python).
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills.
– Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
