Product Designer

Controlant is looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our growing R&D team. Our ideal candidate has proven experience working collaboratively with development teams and is able to successfully communicate and execute design decisions with multiple requirements in mind. We are looking for someone with deep empathy, excellent communication skills, that can balance form and function when delivering UI layouts and component designs.

This is an in-house position in an exciting growing company. The candidate will have the opportunity to shape the design culture of R&D, with full collaborative support from managers and developers that appreciate the importance of design and Design Thinking.

Responsibilities

• Create wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity mocks based on user requirements and user feedback

• Lead the design iterative process

• Create and maintain a UI Design System and Style Guide for our Controlant Solutions

• Work collaboratively with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager and Developers to implement beautiful layouts with excellent usability

• Prep assets and layouts for handoff to the development team

• Lead design meetings and reach out to others outside the department to collect feedback and notes

• Ensure that features are getting implemented per spec with consistency

• Coordinate with and sync with other stakeholders in the company so that visual guidelines are kept consistent throughout the organization

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience designing software products, preferably with fully responsive applications

• University degree or equivalent work experience

• Experience creating a scalable Design System

• Excellent knowledge of UI trends and patterns

• Good knowledge of UX practices and methodologies

• Excellent knowledge of visual design software, especially Figma

• A working knowledge of frontend development
