Atchik-Realtime is looking for experts to join a new technical team in Reykjavik.
Created in 1999, Atchik-Realtime is an international company providing mobile communities and entertainment services to mobile operators world wide. Our services have already been deployed in over 50 countries throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

We are very enthusiastic about the performance of our services and providing high availability solutions. Most of our software is written in Java and we run our system mainly in Amazon AWS. We use Linux, Solaris, Redis, Mongodb, MySQL, Oracle, perl, python, ruby and bash.

We are looking for IT Experts who can help us to improve and drive our systems to world class performance as we continuously develop new products, acquire new customers and scale out our systems and would like to join our new department in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Desired Skills & Experience:
You are motivated by solving problems and improve our service for customers. You are a fast-paced and able to act on operation problems of our services and at the same time keep information flow high towards customers and stakeholders on technical level.

• You know the way around Linux/Unix systems and tools.
• Have experience writing code (as developer or sysadm) in popular scripting languages.
• Personality to take responsibility, be proactive, work as a team-player with the goal of delivering the best service to our customers.
• Good understanding of Software Release and deployment processes.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:
– Maintain uptime and performance of our systems with proven demand as we scale out and debug performance problems through the whole stack.
– Monitor our systems, act on alerts, troubleshooting and make workarounds, involve 3rd level support if necessary.
– Document actions and report incident to secure improvements on our system architecture.
– Maintain systems and cloud security.
– Maintain operational best practice.
– Data management and fire drills.
– Working effectively and closely with developers to secure high uptime records and high performance systems.
– Change management.
– Participate in 24*365 duty team.
– Proactively working to constantly improve our operational management.
