Front-end Developer

What you will be doing:

Develop and maintain Icelandair’s customer-facing solutions, ensuring quality of code and validity of solutions by building reusable code and component libraries for future use. Innovate and push the boundaries of what’s possible in the front-end ecosystem.

Follow and evolve best practices in terms of all software development aspects.

Collaborate with our in-house designers to turn designs into beautiful functional user interfaces.

Contribute to the discussions and development of the future developments of customer-facing solutions.

What you should know and be capable of:

Have a strong knowledge of React and Typescript, as well as Next.js (13+). Be very capable of creating beautiful experiences using all that modern CSS has to offer.

You‘ve used, or are familiar with the basics of React Server Components, preferably within Next.js.

You have a degree in computer science, web development or comparable education. As well as you are familiar and/or experienced with agile methodologies and continuous delivery.

You‘re passionate about what you do whilst playing well within a team. You continuously seek out how the front-end ecosystem is evolving and ingrain that into your work.

You have a great eye for details and no patience for bad user experiences, and not afraid to take initiative and strive for continuous improvement.

You can work well independently and collaboratively.

Experience in Mario Kart and/or FIFA is a good plus.
