Front End Developer

Valitor is looking for a Front-End Developer to join the Merchant Solutions team within Operations & Development.

The Merchant Solutions unit provides digital solutions powering Valitor’s end-to-end customer experience for small and medium sized merchants in Iceland and the UK. The solutions enable seamless on-boarding of merchants, self-service and a fast, user-friendly back office web. We currently have three agile development teams with developers in Iceland and Serbia working to extend our product offering and grow our business.

You will be:

• Overseeing the technical implementation of the front-end of a web application

• Ensuring excellent user experience on one of our development teams

• Working in a highly collaborative environment, engaging with the product owner, users, support staff and other developers

• Specializing in the front end but at times need to wear multiple hats and do what it takes with the team to deliver value to our customers

Qualifications:

• University degree in computer science, engineering or related subjects

• At least 3 years hands-on experience in C# and Web development

• Experience with SQL Server and Elastic Search is a plus

• Experience with React / React Native

• Good eye for design and a passion for good UX

• Experience working in an agile software development team

• Good communication and relational skills

• Fluent in English, Icelandic is a plus

• Open-minded, willing to learn and positive towards new challenges
