We play with embedded linux systems, microcontoller based sensor devices, lots and lots and lots of data and web interfaces to view and analyse it all. Why? To help people save energy. Saving energy starts with knowing what you’re using, how much, and where. That’s where ReMake Electric comes in.

We’re looking for someone who thinks that sounds like fun. More specifically, we’re looking for someone to come and work primarily on linux applications, with other tasks up into the data collection, analysis and presentation, or down into the sensor devices, based on your background and desires. We like automating things, making them clever. Magic is awesome when used for good.

You will not have to deal with any legacy systems. We’re standing on the shoulders of giants here. We’re putting things together in new ways, not writing version 352 of yet another billing system.

Buzzwords, because people like those: MQTT, OpenWRT, C, Json, Modbus, AVR, SQL, Column Store, Hadoop
