Data Governance and Data Quality
Íslandsbanki is currently looking for a specialist in data governance and data quality.
The primary responsibilities of the role will be on maturing the data culture within Íslandsbanki, monitoring and delivering data quality metrics, and follow up on data strategy execution. The role sits within a new team which focuses on data culture, data governance, and data strategy.
We’re looking for an independent, driven and service-oriented person that is highly collaborative and drives everyone around them to excellence.
Responsibilities and duties
- Participate with teams and individuals within the bank to measure, monitor, and resolve data quality issues.
- Analysis, user research and requirements gathering for digital product development related to the construction of strong data foundations.
- Design and communicate on data models and definitions with stakeholders.
- Push for innovation and new digital solutions to help the bank be more data driven.
- Collaboration with stakeholders to build a better data culture within Íslandsbanki.
Qualifications
- Excellent Icelandic and English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ambition and organisational skills to manage product and project delivery
- Experience analysing and defining data and data models
- Experience in defining and analysing data flows.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with business intelligence tooling.
Advantageous but not a requirement:
- Working knowledge of data quality concepts and change management processes
- Experience implementing and running data governance.
- Experience with data quality tools such as ExMon.
- Experience working in banking or Fintech.
