Cloud Engineer

Lucinity is a SaaS startup in Reykjavík, London, Stockholm, Brussels and New York using Human AI to Make Money Good. Our anti-money laundering (AML) platform helps banks fight financial crime. Do you want to shine a light on dark finance? 

About you 

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be expected to work closely with the DevOps and developer teams. Your collaboration skills will be essential to continually improve our platform. Your insight will be applied to improving the way we use tools and infrastructure, and we’ll be counting your expertise and creativity to enhance processes. You’re comfortable mentoring and developing the skills for both yourself and others, and you can innovate to reduce complexity in implementation of software and service usage. 
 

Focus 

• Design, configure, operate, and maintain our cloud infrastructure   
• Monitor the performance of systems in a cloud-based computing environment, including overall system health, reliability, performance, and cost  
• Perform active monitoring of the system by defining alerts and reviewing logs  
   

Key challenges 

• Work with integration into multiple platforms (GCE, AWS, Azure) 
• Optimizing the performance and cost of our SaaS platform. 
• Mentor other engineers on basic operational principles through demos, documentation, and one-on-one mentorship 
   

Skills & experience 

• Expert in infrastructure automation and release engineering  
• Strong background and understanding of cloud-agnostic technologies   
• Experience developing code for infrastructure-as-code platforms such as Terraform   
• Experience in Kubernetes implementation and management 
• 3+ years working in IT Operations and Cloud Operations/Design   
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
