Lucinity is a SaaS startup in Reykjavík, London, Stockholm, Brussels and New York using Human AI to Make Money Good. Our anti-money laundering (AML) platform helps banks fight financial crime. Do you want to shine a light on dark finance? 

 

About you 

You’re a full-stack BackEnd Core Services Developer who’s driven by an undying thirst for knowledge and sustained by an inherent curiosity about how things work. We’re building the next generation of user-facing AML products, and you’ll be part of a team that isn’t just on the cutting edge of technology, but also driven by a sense of social responsibility.  

 

Focus: 

  • Building and maintaining performant, scalable, and secure core services at Lucinity  
  • Improving testing infrastructure, logging infrastructure, and application performance management infrastructure 

Key challenges 

  • Solving technical problems and coming up with innovative solutions to support and advance Lucinity’s core platform 
  • Launching, iterating, and making a difference to the team’s performance and being committed to making Lucinity’s platform better 
  • Collaborating with other developers to promote great software design and quality 

Skills & experience: 

  • 5+ years’ work experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent  
  • Experience building backend systems and working with distributed systems, systems performance, or system security  
  • A data-driven approach: measure the impact of your work with hard data  
  • Big picture thinking and strong communication skills  
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but effective in teamwork and collaboration 

 
Bonus for familiarity with the following: 

  • Typescript/NodeJS  
  • Python/FastAPI  
  • SQL/Postgres  
  • Grafana, Loki, Prometheus  
  • Docker and Kubernetes
