🦸 Your role in helping us achieve our mission
– As a Platform Engineer, your role in helping us achieve our mission will be to develop, operate, and secure our core platform with Sidekick’s team of talented Platform Engineers. This position involves a blend of skills in infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, enhancing platform and infrastructure observability, and creating tools and platforms to support our engineering team’s efficiency. You will ensure our platform’s security, compliance, and performance, enabling us to deliver superior value to our users while promoting productivity and operational excellence within our development team.
– About the role
– Architect, implement and manage secure, scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
– Take part in operating, developing, and securing our Kubernetes infrastructure to support scalable and resilient applications.
– Help develop an observability framework for real-time monitoring, logging, and alerting across our platform.
– Create and manage an internal developer platform and tools to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the engineering team’s productivity.
– Ensure adherence to healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and Hitrust, emphasizing the security and privacy of patient data.
– Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and infrastructure management, integrating best practices in security and observability.
– Perform regular security assessments, risk management, and compliance audits to uphold the highest data protection and privacy standards.
About you
– Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
– Have a deep understanding of cloud hyperscalers, preferably GCP.
– Take part in designing and implementing observability tools and practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
– Have an opinion on creating and managing internal developer platforms and tools to support engineering teams.
– Strong knowledge of security practices, risk management, and compliance with healthcare industry standards (e.g., HIPAA and Hitrust).
– Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
– Communication and collaboration skills, with a strong emphasis on mentoring and knowledge sharing.
