AZAZO is a tech company based in Iceland providing SaaS solutions for data management. Our flagship product, an enterprise content management system named CoreData, is used by many of the largest companies in Iceland.

We’re looking for a senior front end developer to work as part of a team focused on improving the user experience of the software, and expanding the feature set available within the system.

The candidate should have a passion for good design and be an avid learner of new technologies and frameworks. We’re looking for a good communicator – in terms of feedback on code reviews, documentation and expressing their opinions on subjects of debate. We want someone who enjoys working in a team – who can both accept and provide positive criticism in equal measure.

The role will involve working as part of a feature team, responsible for:
Making decisions about the technology stack that powers the front end.
Communicating to the rest of the tech team what front end tooling we use, and how to use it.
Working with the Product Owner to turn feature ideas into user stories, and onwards to released code.

Experience that may help you:
– 5+ years working on front end implementations of web applications.
– Experience with Django
– RESTful APIs.
– Javascript frameworks (Angular, Backbone, react.js etc).
– Leading a team.
– Automated testing of web apps.
– TDD
– Working with a complex code base.
– SCRUM

Fluent English language, both written and spoken is a requirement.

The position is open for remote or locally based applicants. We strive to provide a flexible, asynchronous-friendly work environment where it doesn’t matter where you work. We work across 4 time zones, with 25% of the development team based abroad.
