Right now both our client and server is JavaScript (a Chrome Extension on the front-end and Node.js on the back-end), we make extensive use of WebRTC when possible, and our back-end is powered by Amazon EC2, and both SQL and NoSQL databases. Our system is a distributed, real-time communications system, with a significant back-end focus on logging, analytics and the ability to do per-minute billing, and with strict security requirements. In the relatively near future, we expect to add additional native client software (meaning iOS, Android, and potentially Windows and Mac development), significant media processing in our servers (meaning you finally get to flex your soft-realtime muscles), and integration with various systems e.g. CRM systems such as Salesforce, federated sign-on (ADFS and SAML), and more (perfect for specifications junkies).
